All centers affiliated with the Indian Institute of Science and Technology Education and Research (IISTER) are required to operate strictly within a defined framework of quality, compliance, and accountability. The purpose of these guidelines is to ensure uniform standards across all authorized centers and to maintain the integrity of competency-based training and assessment. Every center must function in alignment with IISTER’s operational policies and national skill development objectives.

Centers must maintain adequate infrastructure to support both theoretical instruction and practical training. This includes properly equipped classrooms, functional laboratories, required tools and equipment, and a safe learning environment. The infrastructure must be relevant to the specific sector and courses offered. Any mismatch between approved courses and available facilities is a direct compliance failure and can lead to suspension.

Trainer quality is non-negotiable. All trainers must possess relevant academic qualifications, sector-specific skills, and practical industry experience. Centers must ensure that trainers are capable of delivering competency-based training and preparing candidates for real-world job roles. Use of unqualified or inexperienced trainers directly compromises certification credibility and will result in strict action.

Centers are required to follow standardized curriculum structures and training methodologies prescribed by IISTER. Training delivery must focus on practical skill development, task-based learning, and measurable outcomes. Purely theory-driven teaching defeats the purpose of skill certification and is not acceptable under any circumstances.

Candidate registration and data management must be handled through the official IISTER system only. Centers must ensure accurate data entry, proper documentation, and timely submission of candidate details. Any manipulation of records, false entries, or unauthorized registrations will be treated as a serious violation and may result in termination of affiliation.

Assessment processes must remain independent, transparent, and strictly controlled. Centers must not interfere with or influence assessment outcomes. All assessments must be conducted as per defined protocols, ensuring fairness and consistency. Any attempt to manipulate results or bypass assessment procedures will lead to immediate blacklisting.

Centers must comply with operational guidelines aligned with national frameworks such as the National Skill Development Corporation and the Skill India Mission. This includes maintaining standard practices in training delivery, assessment coordination, and reporting. Non-compliance with these frameworks reflects directly on the credibility of the center.

Branding and representation must be handled carefully. Centers are permitted to use IISTER branding only as per official guidelines. Misrepresentation, false claims, or unauthorized use of logos and certifications is strictly prohibited and will attract legal and administrative action.

Centers are expected to maintain proper records of attendance, training schedules, assessment activities, and certification data. Documentation must be readily available for audit and verification at any time. Lack of documentation or poor record management is considered a compliance failure.

IISTER conducts periodic audits and monitoring to ensure continuous quality assurance. Centers must cooperate fully during inspections, provide accurate information, and implement corrective actions when required. Repeated non-compliance, malpractice, or failure to meet standards will result in suspension or cancellation of approval.

These guidelines are not optional. They define the minimum operating standards required to remain part of the IISTER ecosystem. Centers that follow them will build credibility and long-term value. Centers that ignore them will not be allowed to continue.
