Certificate Genuineness Verification

Indian Institute of Science and Technology Education and Research

The Indian Institute of Science and Technology Education and Research (IISTER) has implemented a secure and technology-driven Certificate Genuineness Verification system through its Direct Verify integration with the DocsWallet platform. This system is designed to eliminate ambiguity in credential validation by enabling real-time, tamper-proof verification of all certificates issued under the IISTER framework. It ensures that every credential is authentic, traceable, and directly linked to verified assessment records.

The Direct Verify system allows employers, institutions, and stakeholders to instantly validate certificates using unique identifiers such as certificate number, QR code, or registered candidate details. Each certificate is digitally stored within the secure DocsWallet environment, preventing duplication, manipulation, or unauthorized reproduction. This removes dependency on manual verification processes and significantly reduces the risk of fraudulent or misrepresented credentials.

All certified candidates are provided access to a personal digital Docs Wallet, where their credentials are securely stored and can be shared when required. The system ensures controlled access, data integrity, and long-term availability of records. This not only simplifies document management for candidates but also improves efficiency for organizations conducting background verification or recruitment screening.

The verification framework is built to support transparency, accountability, and trust across the certification ecosystem. Every certificate issued by IISTER is backed by a verifiable digital record, ensuring that assessment outcomes are accurately reflected and cannot be altered post-issuance. This strengthens confidence among employers and enhances the credibility of certified individuals in competitive job environments.

From a compliance perspective, the Direct Verify system aligns with modern digital verification standards and supports the objectives of national skill development initiatives such as the National Skill Development Corporation and the Skill India Mission. It ensures that certification systems are not only standardized but also technologically robust and future-ready.

The Certificate Genuineness Verification through DocsWallet is not an additional feature; it is a core component of the IISTER certification process. It ensures that every issued certificate carries verifiable proof of authenticity, reinforcing trust, preventing misuse, and establishing a reliable digital certification ecosystem aligned with industry and regulatory expectations.
